Trip Planner for Muslim Tourists
NIPPON KOEI R&D Center

More than one million Muslims are expected to visit Tokyo in the year 2020 when Olympic and Paralympic Games are held. Many prayer rooms and Halal restaurants are available in many regions in Japan and those numbers are increasing nowadays but it is rather difficult to access and use the information on them. To help Muslim travelers have smoother journeys in Tokyo, we propose a web service that finds the nearest prayer room and Muslim-friendly restaurant as well as public transportation information to access them. In addition, users can set destinations and create travel plans that take prayer rooms and meals into account.
